Super 8 by Wyndham Ionia MI

Staff is super friendly, I loved chatting with them, and the location is fairly convenient. The lobby and common areas are clean. Housekeeping in the rooms could be better, there was hair in my tub upon check in and the microwave had coffee spills in it still. There was an envelope in case you want to leave a tip for the housekeeper, which would be fair if basic details like these weren’t missed. Other than that, the room was pretty clean. I also realized that my bathroom door would not latch shut and would not lock, which wasn’t a problem for me but may be a problem for others. There are no elevators so be aware of that as well, which is common in 2 story hotels but is still something to note. Positive: We have stayed at this property several times over several years. It is convenient as it is only one of two hotels in the general area. It continues to be one of the cleanest and nicest Wyndham properties we have stayed at anywhere. Negative: We did notice a faint odor in the hallways which could easily be remedied with air fresheners or carpet shampooing.

Some of the rooms need some updating & sprucing up. No hand lotion or extra bars of soap. Staff was very nice & accommodating. Easy access to the highway. Gas station/sub shop in the same parking lot made it convenient. Breakfast had a nice variety.

I want to share how accommodating, nice, and helpful Kaci was when my daughter needed a room very late last night when the weather was horrible on her way back to Grand Valley. Kaci went above and beyond for us. Thank you!

No elevator, 3 cars in the lot, and the front desk said they only had 2nd floor available. Seriously?? Shampoo dispenser was empty and the desk didn't answer the call to fill it. Room was a little older and dated, some cracked ceramic. But the whole place, including the room seemed very clean. Bonus for that. Breakfast was cereal, waffle or biscuit & gravy. Best skipped.
