Super 8 by Wyndham Baltimore/Essex Area

I was going to leave 3 stars but as I was taking this picture from the outside the receptionist came outside yelling at me I wasn't allowed to take pictures and saying that wasn't normal. Showed her my phone saying it was just a picture of the building even. There was definitely burn marks everywhere including on my blanket that scratched my leg even though its a non smoking room, one of my white pillows was black spotted, there's no phone, the doorlock was stuck, etc etc. Getting yelled at first thing in the morning was the worst though. Edit: changed review to 1 star there are definitely roaches Breakfast pics included no coffee just decaf and just corn flakes or fruit loops.

Everything is great for the price and the very last moment booking on Saturday night. Very nice check in, the lady who checked us in was nice and helpful.

I really enjoyed my time at Super 8 in Essex, the staff were very friendly and helpful, my room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The location made it easy to get around and explore. Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I’ll definitely book here again next time I’m in town.

Positive: The staff were very friendly. Negative: Or door lock was broken so the staff had to let us in. There was a mouse in the room which was gross but by that point they may have asked me to feed it because it looked like the room was his and we were infringing in his space. The place was gross.

I thought this place would be okay for the price we paid, but the room we had to change it they charged us more just to change a room because it was not what we paid for and smelled on top of that both rooms smelled and towels were stained YELLOW. The pillows were small and only had 2 and could NOT sleep and the bed was so uncomfortable and the blanket was thin.
