Super 8 by Wyndham Alma

A lady at the front desk is a She profiles African-Americans. We did nothing wrong to her. She lied and said that we were rude. All we asked her was could we get an early check-in because we wouldn’t be there all day she came back behind that and gave it to a Caucasian with no problems, horrible person, little young skinny girl.

Positive: The location to downtown Negative: Asked the staff to have house cleaning done. All they did was pull the sheets up not make up the bed and replaced the towels

Roger at the front desk was super nice, very friendly & welcomed me with a smile, placing me in the "just right" room, downstairs as requested. Room was spacious with fridge/micro & in-room coffee. Laminate flooring. Lots of counter space in the bathroom. Free wifi w/decent signal. DirecTV programming. Sheets were clean, bed was comfortable. A/C quickly cooled down the room. It wasn't what you would call sparkling white-glove clean; windows were smeary, bits of dust & debris in the corners, shower head was mineral stained, as was the toilet. Neither sink or bath tub had drain stoppers. The wash cloths appeared new, but one of the bath towels had holes in it & needed to be retired. The nightstand drawer was broken, but happily it did contain a Bible. Light continental breakfast. A

Broke a plastic knife on a hard biscuit. Gravy was luke warm. Toaster didn't work. Bread for toaster, was old and hard. Finally ended up eating oatmeal. That was good

The manager charged me extra nights stay and said it was a Penalty for canceling two days ahead of time. He was saying that I booked online with Expedia. This was untrue. We were in town for a funeral and I called the hotel directly about 5 days before the funeral and we drove in from Denver. I tried several times to get a refund because we only had two people in the room and they charged us for 4 people and would not change the price or the extra night we didn’t stay. Total cheap hotel and not nice place. Breakfast was terrible, nothing was refilled fresh for each morning. The hotel itself was dirty and rundown as well. Will Never stay here again.
