Sunset RV Park

Easy on/off 287. Gravel sites with full hookups for $40. Nice gentleman owns/manages the park. There is road and some train noise but worked great for our 2 night stay.

Stopped for the night using Passport America. Yes, it is an older park with old full time rigs but I felt totally safe and secure there and will definitely stop again when heading north. Pull in, find a spot you like and drop money at the office. We never saw a manager but it was Labor day weekend. Sorry no photos the weather was horrific!

Scary. Trashy. Not maintained. We were determined to stay here long term. But we pulled in and talked to the "manager"? And she was very rude! Then, I got back to look at the spots and saw the state of the park. And the people that lived there. We pulled right out and never looked back.

Wifi worked. The caretaker is very friendly and just took over, so I'm going to hope he takes care of the dog poop issues. It's gross to walk around in. Needs mowed, long term clientele stay here. Mostly clean, quiet folks. But then you have a family in a broken down motorhome and every time they opened their door you smelled skunk. Huh... yeah. Good for an overnight.

This park has been good to me. David is kind, friendly, and helpful. I'm grateful to have a safe place to call home.
