Sunset Motel of Britton

Worst room I've ever stayed in mold everywhere dusty ,dirty never again. Needs to have a serious remodel.

There are not a lot of lodging options in Britton, SD. You have The Northern Lights Inn at one end of town which looks quite nice from the outside but with higher rates than I think I should be paying in a small town in the middle of nowhere South Dakota. ||||At the other end of town is the Sunset Inn. At $40 a night, it ranks as the least expensive motel that I have stayed in in probably 10 years. Since it was only myself for only one night, I went there. This motel is way past it's prime, but the manager was a nice guy who gave me some ice from his freezer. I got what appeared to be a relatively clean room with an older TV and an even older bathroom. There was free wifi and even a small breakfast room with coffee and cereal and toast. This place isn't the Hilton, but it met my need

Don’t stay here. It’s a fire trap and filthy. Ran out of TP hand had to go to the office for more. A kid at the desk said his mom wasn’t up yet! Then a man in gym shorts only gave us a roll. No soap. No mattress pad. Just disgusting! Go to the North Star. If no rooms are available, go to another town. Paid for two nights but left after one.

This place was unclean and bad and needs to be redone. We stayed there for a short time and end up leaving. New owners have taken it over and have a lot of work to do to this place. I feel for the new owners. It was just nasty. I do believe that when the new owner is done this place will be a nice place to stay.But unitl then I don't recommend anyone to stay here. Let him get it remoldled and then it will be a nice place.

Convenient but the rooms are small and the beds are ok-ish. Nice owners just not a comfortable place for more than one night.
