Sunset Inn

I stopped here with my family in the summer of 2007 and never forgot it. Such a sweet surprise for a traveling family. We opened the door to our room and ooohhed and awwed. My husband joked he was going to the casino, it was such a nice room! thank you for the memories <3

Due to a few plans going awry, we booked over the phone at 10pm on a rainy Friday night. Mary and Joseph, the couple that run the Inn, were incredibly accommodating and friendly, very helpful, and gave us a great rate. The rooms were large, very clean, and comfortable, included refrigerator and coffee maker, small table. The only drawback was that the walls were a little thin, and the couple in the unit above us had a very loud 2am fight that involved a lot of stomping around, but that is not the establishment's fault. When I mentioned the incident in the morning, Mary assured me that if I had called the office it would have been taken care of.||||All-in-all it's a great little place run by a lovely couple, with excellent rates and very clean, spacious rooms.

The sweetest couple owns this place! Very warm and inviting environment. The rooms are clean; updated AC, mini fridge, and microwave in the room. The furniture is a little dated but still very clean. My room has two sitting areas with tables, so lots of space for your stuff. Another thing I was happy to see were the nice towels in the bathroom lol. I know that’s a weird thing to compliment but I stay in motels for weeks at a time for work, and this place has really soft towels. Would definitely stay here again. 100% recommend.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel because it was recommended by my cousin. The place is really quaint and very clean. The rooms are a bit dated but that doesn't bother me. The people who own the hotel are very nice. The pool is a nice size and has a heater. The room was pretty spacious. The hotel is located by Deep Creek Lake which is ideal.

The room was a nice size, the price was reasonable, bedding seemed fine, the bathroom was clean, and the owner was kind, but the cobwebs above the curtains housed multiple insects and the pool was full of bugs. Two very large spiders had taken up residency in one of the many floatation toys that littered the pool. This location is in need of some TLC.
