EDIT TO RESPOND TO OWNER: I added a picture of the receipt. This is far from a false review. Maybe you should actually take the feedback and fix it instead of instantly being defensive in your responses. Also, to confirm we stayed you could ask your front desk person who goes to college in Ames. 😉 My husband and I stayed here for our first time in Branson. Location was great and the two women at the first desk were wonderful. That was the extent of the positive, though. When we first walked in, I was hit with a smell of marijuana. That’s fine. What bothered me was the document I signed and initialed that if there was a smell like this, they would charge $250. I immediately told the girl at the front desk. My husband turned on the AC unit and then we left for awhile. When we returned, th
I will start with all of the positives- the location was great - off the strip but you can get to everything easily! The king size bed was very comfortable and had relatively new sheets on the bed and a new bedspread. There was lots of hot water and great water pressure. The staff was very friendly and apologetic about anything you mentioned. |Now to the negatives and we dealt with this first one and did not mention because I think I read that in a review that I read before booking- a very slow drain in the tub. The website said everything had been totally remodeled- not in room 104- the furniture - two seats were like those in the breakfast room- old and dirty. There was a towel rack thing on the wall to put your hanging clothes. The breakfast was gravy, biscuit, sausage links, yogurt the
This place was a cute hiddem gem the staff was friendly and price was good on booking! Close to everything but tucked away just enough to not be too busy. Highly recommend we will be going back for sure!
Room smelled like chalk and smoke. Was told that it was from the room's new AC unit install. However, the unit was covered in thick old dust, like it was never cleaned. The smoke detector battery had to be changed during our stay (it was beeping low battery). When changed, we saw that the smoke detector was not connected to the motel alarm system wires in the ceiling. We were a bit disturbed about this because if a fire broke out in the building, our smoke detector would not alarm us to evacuate...... Towels are a polyester blend; they did not absorb well. Room had cold AC. Beds were ok. Breakfast was good, with a good selection.
Worn out and is somewhere to sleep but nothing more. Towels are absolutely worthless. I’ve never used a towel that didn’t absorb water until today. Walls are dirty. They’ve tried to paint or touch up doors but so thinly that old yellowing paint beneath is everywhere. It’s honestly just worn out.
