Sunset Bay Lakeside Resort

Sunset Bay was one of the best places I’ve ever stayed on Houghton Lake! The owner was incredibly kind and accommodating, which made the whole experience even better. The property sits right on the water, offering absolutely breathtaking sunsets every night. The beach area is perfect—not only clean and relaxing, but fully stocked with fun! From beach toys for little ones to giant inflatables and slides that kids and adults can enjoy, there’s something for everyone. It’s ideal for a romantic getaway or a fun-filled family trip. During our stay, they were adding a beautiful new retaining wall and patio leading right to the beach, along with updates to a larger cabin. Fantastic resort right on Houghton Lake! Beautifully renovated private cabins all with easy access. Walk out your cabin door and the lake is right there! Friendly staff, very accommodating. Highly recommended!!!

Wonderful views of Houghton Lake and wonderful hosts. Just steps from the water. Cottage was clean and beautifully furnished. Unusual because you can catch beautiful sun rise and sun set at this location.. Will definately stay again.
