Sunny Hill Resort & Golf Course

I brought my younger children and it was an amazing experience. Multiple playgrounds to explore makes it fun and never a dull moment. The lake is not too far and there is fishing, golf, boat rentals and a beautiful wooden playground. The activities are fun and a mix for all family members to enjoy. Your waiter knows your preferences so drinks and certain basics are always ready for you. The ringing of the bell for meal time is so fun and my kids looked forward to help ring the bell.

To sum it up: this year when checking in I was greeted with “welcome home.” This was our 30th summer in the hill and we can’t imagine going anywhere else. From the hospitality, to the countless activities, and stunning views, we are happy to call Sunnyhill home. Anyone would be lucky to experience a slice of this heaven

To understand the depth of what this resort brings you have to understand the history. This is family run, rare in these time of greed. I’ve been going for 45 years, my family over 65 years. This resort provides something no where can replicate. It’s not fancy but it’s family for sure.

We've been coming for over 15 years and always enjoyed our time last week. However, the resort as a whole has changed since we first came. While the original property, buildings, rooms, and most activities stayed the same, it is clear there was a staffing problem. We also noticed the food in the dining room was okay, but several changes done to limit having "more" of something etc. If you've never been to Sunny Hill before, you likely wouldn't notice. But for the host of people who have, you'll feel the changes. I hope Sunny Hill can go back to the "family first" way it's been for years. Gary was always at the heart of everything. Now, it seems to be a resort searching for it's leader!

The resort was well run with a professional staff that were very knowledgeable about all aspects of operations. We stayed at their resort for one night and it was great no issues. I highly recommend it for rest and relaxation in a beautiful part of New York State.
