Sunlac Inn Lakota

They got rid of the breakfast which is actually the reason we kept coming back for well over 40 years. There were no clean towels and no one around to ask about the lack of laundry. This will be our last stay at the SunLac, Devils Lake has several nice motels for the same price and they provide clean towels daily. Never mind there was no maid service either. The staff in the bar were very pleasant, but that won't be enough to keep this place open. So sad the owners have let this place go to hell.

Went to the in hotel bar, I had a glass of water with ice cubes. It came cold and very refreshing. I gambled $100 in the charitable gambling slot machine and won $280. I then left with a lady that had been there a few hours more than I.

We were travelling checking hotels and found the Sun Lac Inn in Devil’s Lake. We read the positive Reviews and even had a Steak house in mind. We booked it online. When we arrived, I found I inadvertently booked the Inn in Lakota- a 35 minute ride. When we arrived, the parking lot was messy. The hotel looked run down. The entrance carpet was worn and ragged.|The desk clerk was slovenly and his living area was unkempt. He was not cheery. We had prepaid the room so…..|The bed was clean and comfortable. The room Itself wasn’t bad although the hallway and room were musty. There was an oversized toilet seat on toilet and the base of the toilet was leaking thus the bathroom carpet was soaked. The restaurant was closed so we found a pub around the corner. We did stay because it had been a long d
