Customer Reviews
Lacking customer service. There are signs all over the resort saying there are fees if don't do this or that. Very negative. Staff didn't and who was responsible for what job. We asked about renting a golf cart, nobody knew about it. The houses were very poorly stocked. No cleaning products at all. Our friends brought their pontoon boat, the marina was nice. Rock Fest was well run,but most bands weren't "rock". Disappointing. We won't be back. This was our second time there. I really tried to like it there. Bad vibes. Oh and the roads are horrible, in need of repair. The resort needs some money and love dumped into it.
Disgusting! This was the worst camping experience I can recall. The park is run down and dirty, campsites are tiny, there is no parking space, no ammenities at the sites, the bathrooms are filthy, check in is disorganized and for what is offered, it is grossly overpriced. It appears that a couple of teeanagers were left on their own to run things on a Saturday night, they were clearly doing their best but out of their depth. We were stuck between a drunken karaoke party on one side and a bible tent meeting on the other side, both ran late into the night and we didn't sleep at all.
It’s extremely dirty. They praise their cleaning staff and the place is dirty and poorly ran. It was a scheduled large event and one hour into it they ran out of everything. The event was good but not worth what we paid for it. It was a total of over $600 for 2 nights and the upkeep was terrible. Too bad cause it could be a spectacular place. I just wish I knew what they did with the money cause it was expensive
A beautiful lake, and location wise it is amazing as it is right next to Electric City and has cell service. Unfortunately, the campground is incredibly crowded and spots are basically just wherever they can squeeze you in. Only one main useable bathroom, otherwise there are horrifying toilet pits with no lights, smell of ammonia, and all sorts of bugs throughout the park. I always choose to walk to the bathroom. The bar/store is incredibly cool and convenient though!
DO NOT STAY HERE! You've been warned Dirty, expensive, outdated, management is horrible at follow through and is rude, lack of amenities. Everything is so dirty and outdated. They cram sites on top of each other for profit and you're back to back next to other people. There's poop everywhere. I had to pay $275 for three nights to stay at a tent site, no parking. Had to walk 300+ ft just to get to the site and carry all the gear. When I got to the site it was maybe 8' X 8" at most and poop everywhere. I submitted a claim with management for a refund the day of my arrival and went to Jones bay campground. Paid $12 for a site right next to water. Quiet, remote, no poop, and parked right next to my site. Management never called me back no sorry no refund. I called and spoke to manager next wee
