This campground was clean, beautiful, and incredibly well maintained. The manager truly makes this place special—friendly, helpful, and always going above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. You can tell they genuinely care about the campground and the people staying there. Thanks to their dedication, our stay was smooth, relaxing, and memorable. We can’t wait to come back!!!
My fiancé, myself and our family/friends have been camping here for several years. We have always loved the staff, the other campers and the beauty of the campground. In 2025, we had our first year as a seasonal site and UNFORTUNATELY was the same year SUN REATREATS purchased Westward Shores. For the most part, we were unhappy. The office staff were always so rude, no smiles or anything. The store was never open - they must have fired all of the younger adults that would work the summer when they were out of school.. which is a huge disappointment because they were always the best staff! Our seasonal sites were fine, nothing special (near wetlands & wooded area). The fire pits provided were GROSS - falling apart and could barely hold a few pieces of wood. We purchased our own to bring on-
I’ve been going to Westward Shores since before Sun Outdoors purchased it—completely false advertising. Our stay was August 24th - August 28th. No more linens can be rented, yet photos of the linens are still displayed on the website. You can no longer rent hot tubs, yet they are still listed on the website. The Snack Shack has been closed for the entire season, yet it is still advertised on the website. ||The day we arrived, a sign was posted at the Marina Market that it would be closed from the 25th to the 27th and reopen at noon on the 28th. Not helpful for our stay. If the market weren't open, the water sports would be unavailable. That meant we were unable to paddleboard, kayak, or engage in any other water activities during our stay. ||When they unexpectedly closed the pools on Tuesd
We booked five cabins for a week-long family vacation. Everyone, especially the kids, had a blast. However, cabins were not clean on arrival. Food left in cabinets, sand on beds, dirty socks and food under bunks/futon, weed found in one of the cabins (with kids). One cabin didn’t even have a working oven. No wifi (for those who needed to work) or cable, less than friendly office staff. One hot tub at the pools was closed most of our stay. We were also disappointed in learning that some of the amenities that are listed on the website are no longer available. One cabin in our group used to have a hot tub (at a up charge) that was no longer available, however they would not change the price to reflect that. In speaking with several seasonal folks, the establishment has unfortunately gone up i
We just returned from a week at Westward Shores and even though we had a great vacation we were really disappointed with the lack of amenities this season. They no longer offer linen service , trash removal, WiFi, or cable. They took away the hot tubs at the cabins. The outdoor hot tub was still broken and the outdoor pool was closed for a couple of days during our stay. Our cabin was filthy, dog hair everywhere and I had to wash the floors upon arrival. The laundry facilities had multiple broken units. The snack shack was closed and we had planned on ordering dinner there a couple nights. The store hours were limited and the store staff was less than friendly. |We love our yearly vacation here and would have overlooked a lot of these issues had they not almost doubled the price for next y
