We had a very disappointing experience at Sun Outdoors Wells Beach. We visited as two couples (4 adults) and unfortunately made a mistake during the booking process. As Canadians, our English is not perfect, and we misunderstood the “pop-up tent” option. When we arrived on Friday evening, instead of receiving understanding or assistance, we were told the campground was full and that we could only stay one night, all four of us on the same site. This was especially frustrating because we had paid for two sites with water and electricity. We were simply told it was our mistake, and that there was nothing they could do for us. What made the situation even worse was the way it was handled. If the staff had at least taken the time to listen to us, it would have made a difference. Instead, we

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect Fall Weekend Getaway! We had an absolutely perfect fall weekend at Sun Outdoors Wells Beach. The cabins were spotless, cozy, and well-equipped—perfect for crisp Maine evenings. The setting was peaceful with beautiful foliage all around, and it’s conveniently close to everything we wanted to explore. Great place to stay for couples or families looking for comfort and relaxation. Highly recommend!

We stayed here as part of an RV fantasy tours group. Overall a very nice place with a lot of shaded spaces. The spaces are relatively small similar to most commercial campgrounds. The roads are paved although the camp space is gravel and the one we were on was relatively level. They have a nice camp store, playgrounds, and a pool if you're here during the summer. Although I will say getting in and out of the campground itself can be a chore as the traffic gets heavy in the middle of the day.

This is a small campground but is very relaxing. It’s a perfect spot to stay at in the Wells, ME area. ||We stayed in a deluxe cabin and it was very clean and was perfect. The pool was perfect, like a watery paradise. ||The only downside was not much going on in the camp store and they could design better merchandise.

The campsite was clean and well-maintained, though the sites were a bit cramped with little space between neighbors. Getting in and out was a bit tricky since it was located near an intersection and right off the main road—so traffic noise could be an issue. That said, it worked fine for us, as we weren’t planning to have a fire or spend much time sitting outside. The shade was a nice bonus, keeping the camper cool. We mainly used it as a base for exploring the area.
