Sun Motel

The Sun Motel is currently undergoing a rebranding initiative and will be renamed Travel Inn & Suites. My recent stay there was peaceful and restful, as I experienced a tranquil environment conducive to relaxation. The accommodations provided were akin to an efficiency studio, offering essential amenities for a comfortable stay. Additionally, the establishment features various room options designed to resemble apartment settings, complete with living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms. Electricity, water, and trash services are included in the rate, and the room is equipped with DIRECTV and Wi-Fi access. I highly recommend this property, especially considering its affordability compared to higher-end motels in York, Nebraska.

Pulled in, place is beyond run down. Very creepy. Desk guy told us they only have bunk beds there. Please avoid this hotel for safety reasons. Dirt cheap, but doesn't look or feel safe at all. Dead exit. Looks like a place people go missing overnight. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Honestly one of the worst experiences I've had, and I'm a Nebraska native. I came to this place to lend a hand in repairs and renovations after a tornado ripped up the motel. The owner was disrespectful, childish, and unprofessional. There was no hot water. No AC. And on top of that. The owner also repeatedly lied and decieved me and another helper multiple times. Never have I had anyone blatantly talk smack on my work, especially not from someone with no experience in the area I was hired to do. I would honestly have rated this with 0 stars if possible. I recommend that this place gets shut down and given to new owners. It was very stressful and unnecessarily difficult to even communicate with the an who is the sorry excuse of an owner.

Livable but not Luvable. If the owner took the time and put money into this place it would be ok. From the road it looks abandoned. I pulled into the Subway next door and saw a vehicle by the entry door. Nice lady who manages it for the owner. The outside is rough and so are the rooms. The full size refrigerator seems out of place in the small room. I don't think the owner knows if he wants to make it into a motel or efficiency apartments. Either way he is making a mess of it. Considering Motel 6 is $55 a few miles away in York and is well maintained paying $50 is very pricey. Low End at best.

Eh, on one hand I'm really glad I had a place to sleep when I broke down late at night. $50, done. On the other hand, there were horseflies all over the blinds, the A/C didn't work, and I heard mice all night long. I did consider sleeping in the car. Scary!
