Sun-Fish Resort

4 of us stayed here over the Labor Day weekend. When you drive up to the resort you may want to keep driving. It’s in desperate need of some TLC!! We stayed regardless because the price was great and it’s a beautiful lake!! The cabin is outdated, but clean. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of hot water. The owner of the resort is sooo kind and a wealth of information on the lake. Regardless of the state of the resort, we had a great time!! If appearances are what’s important to you, then you wont like it here. If you’re a bunch of guys who just want some great fishing done cheap, then you will love it! The cabins are cute if they just had a fresh coat of paint and some repairs on the outside.

Feeling ripped off! !!Sent in $100 deposit. This resort is in horrible condition. The cabins look like they are ready to fall down. The bathroom was dirty, moldy and old. Everything is very dated and feels unclean. As you can see..no pictures posted of the cabins. I am shocked that this place is allowed to have customers. We left after 10 minutes. We were unable to find another place to stay. Drove 2 hours back home!

The cabins are old and rusty. There is no pool even though the description on here says there is - it closed a few years back. This is a very isolated, quiet place if that's what you're looking for. It's perfect for a bunch of guys looking to fish all day, then an easy place to crash. There is an AC unit in the living room, so bring a fan to blow into the bedrooms. There is no sandy beach to lay out on. There is all seaweed when you walk in to go swimming. The sunsets are to die for!

I didn't stay as a guest, but took the opportunity to stop over and take pictures of the grebes (and their babies!) swimming by as the sky lit up with beautiful hues of orange. Truly reminded me of how beautiful nature can be.

We had a really great stay. The view of the lake was beautiful from our villa. #7 we loved it! So fun.
