Sun Castle Resort

Sun Castle Resort is an amazing getaway spot on Lake George! The location is unbeatable — right on the lake with stunning views all day long. The townhomes and villas are spacious, very clean, and give you that perfect mix of comfort and privacy. The private beach and pool are big highlights, and it’s so nice having direct access to the lake. The property feels quiet and relaxing, yet it’s just a short drive to the village if you want shops, dining, or activities. The staff were welcoming and helpful, making the whole stay stress-free. Watching the sunrise and sunset over the lake from here is unforgettable. If you’re planning a family trip, a couples’ escape, or even a group vacation, Sun Castle Resort is the perfect spot. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be back!

The resort is located perfectly convenient to the Village and things to do.. the town is vibrant and friendly. The facilities are well maintained yet are dated and tired. Couch/sofa bed was anything but comfortable sitting or sleeping. Blankets missing for sofa bed obtained at front desk. Showers are slippery and the hot water was set to super hot. Toilet fill hose caused a leak around toilet that was an easy fix yet you could see the water damage from previous issues on the ceiling of the family room. We were unable to get the gas fireplace to run. Staff friendly and responsive. Lake views and balconies were great. Kayak equipment also good yet could be better. Five stars from a satisfied family! We have been coming here and staying in the townhouses for years. The location is awesome. We love being able to look upon the beautiful lake from our townhouse porch. The Erlowest is the gem of Lake George! We had such an incredible time. Lori and Amber were like our fairy godmothers and helped make our anniversary a dream here! They truly went above and beyond and we are so thankful for them. Our lodge was beautiful and the restaurant was SO phenomenal, we had to have dinner two nights. The Filet Mignon was one of the best cuts of meat I’ve had in years, and I’m a tough critic. Compliments to the chef because every dish we ordered was a fresh delight with every bite. Not only was the food at the Shepard’s restaurant heavenly, our two waitresses, Alex and Alexis were a master class in hospitality. Thank you to all of the staff that made this estate feel like a home away from home. The Erlowest is a perfectly oiled machine with all of you! Be back soon x
