Sugar Maple Inn

There were cats EVERYWHERE. I'm almost certain the cats spent time in the room I was in as it smelled like cat urine. The tub didn't drain. There were centipedes in my room. There is no Wi-Fi and no phone available. The owner is only barely able to be found to check in. It was a surprise when I arrived that they only accept cash or check - no credit and no ATM. My friend tried to cancel her room before arrival and was told she wasn't allowed to cancel???? So bizarre. I suspect some of these good reviews are fake accounts, because they are nowhere near the experience I had.....

We spent 2 nights here bicycling the Elroy-Sparta Trail. We stayed in Room 8 which is at the end of the building in the back facing the trail. It was amazingly convenient as we could just ride out from there either direction on the trail. Room 8 is a Jacuzzi room with 2 beds. Everything was spotless clean! The Jacuzzi felt great after 2 long rides and the beds were comfortable. It was very quiet, and we slept late both mornings. The room had a refrigerator, coffeemaker with coffee service, a microwave, and hair dryer. Out back there are tables and chairs you can use and a fire pit. You also can sit right on the porch with your morning coffee. We never turned on the tv but there is one available. Soap is provided but bring your own shampoo/conditioner. The Sugar Maple Inn is very clean, well maintained and the Sparta Elroy bike trail goes right thru the backyard. This is a small roadside motel, that has received a lot of attention from the owner to make it bright and clean with nice plants and a very homey feel. Not fancy, but its obvious that the owner is doing all she can to make your stay a good. One I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Sugar Maple Inn three times, and was never disappointed. ||||Larissa, the owner, keeps the rooms looking immaculate. For a little extra you can get a room with a Jacuzzi which is always a nice ending to a perfect day on the bike trail.||||The Sparta--Elroy bike trail runs directly behind the motel, so you can easily hop on your bike and begin your ride. ||||The Sugar Maple is within a short driving distance from the other three major trails in the area. The Omaha, The 400 and the Lacrosse.||||I would highly recommend the Sugar Maple Inn to anyone looking for a friendly and quaint weekend getaway In a beautiful part of Wisconsin..||||Dennis||Sheboygan

Fantastic people !! Loved the room and the quiet. Very clean and will get you anything you need extra. Relaxed after our family reunion and met some really nice people. If you're a hiker or bicycle rider the hotel is right on the Wisconsin "400" trail. Actually stayed in August 2016 but I couldn't put that date in.
