Stormy Point Village

We have stayed at Stormy point 5 times total. We have always had great cottage accommodations. However we requested an ADA cottage this time and this is on Feb Valentine’s Day weekend and my husband birthday. We always book here once a year and this time was our last. Our cottage was terrible, filthy along with so many broken things. On day 2 we was switched cottages after they came in to “clean” ours which they never did even anything not 1 thing. The cottage the moved us to on the inside was cleaner however the steps was breaking away from the cottage rust all over outside and inside there was a hole probably from a broom in the master bedroom with insulation hanging down. No curtains in any rooms so street lights shined through. This was just a terrible trip. Did they offer anything to

We had a one bedroom unit which was nice, but we were very disappointed with the view which was the housekeeping trailer and parking lot. Trees blocked any possible glimpse of the lake. The website pictures were very misleading and I wouldn't have booked the unit if I'd have known. It's very far and inconvenient to any of the amenities on the village side. Will not stay again.

We have stayed here before and have enjoyed it. Love the individual, cute cottages and the pool. Booked another trip directly. We are supposed to check in next week. We were never emailed a copy of our confirmation, however I took a picture of the screen so I know it exists. Called and spoke to three different customer service agents on the phone who could not find the reservation. Got disconnected twice. Still haven't resolved the issue. It should not be this difficult.

BEWARE! Check the reviews. I hope I read the reviews before I booked. The place is nice but how many people got issues with this place. The place itself is nice BUT this is what happened to us. We arrived around 6 pm. We had called at 3 pm and had mentioned we would be arriving a little late. Yet, when we arrived at the front desk, they said your room is not ready. They said to go eat and we will call you when your room is ready. At 6pm! I asked, what is the policy when this situation happens? Sincerely never in all the times I went to Hotels has this happened something like this, and all this without remorse on their part. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Honestly, it sticks to read all of these negative reviews. I’m writing this as I comfortably lay in my lakeside bed here at Stormy Pointe Lakeside. When booking we didn’t realize that there was the Village accommodations and the Lakeside accommodations. We wanted the cottage but ended up getting the lakeside 1-bedroom. I honestly was a Lyle disappointed until I saw the unit…||Check in was nice and easy. It was a packed lobby but we got checked in by two different ladies, somehow we’re blessed to skip the sales talk and we’re about to go straight to our unit.
