Stonewood Inn & Suites of Carrollton - Smithfield

Compared to all the reviews I've read and them being badly rated the rooms are not that bad at all. I was a little worried prior to arriving here. But the front desk guy was very helpful I accidentally booked for wrong days through Expedia. And he was more than helpful and willing to change my dates around without any issues or charges. The rooms are actually clean and roomy. The bed is quite comfortable. My only main issue would be when the AC unit is on its extremely noisy. But for the price it's not a bad room honestly.

This was the worst hotel stay that I have ever stayed! The suite had dirty furniture. I didn't even sit on the couch or the chair. It smells like a old batch of collards! I didn't sleep at all. No water pressure in the sink. The show was stuck on. You couldn't even adjust the water temperature if you need to. The mattress cover was a warn piece of material. It was so nasty and worn! Just filthy! It was awful! The mattress on the bed was hard and the blanket had cigarette burn holds. Just filth! My friend who booked the room was so embarrassed! Puke!

First off, this is NOT the Stonewood... it is a run down econolodge, that is the worst hotel ive stayed in. It is worth maybe $50 a night. Not 90.

When walking into the hallway to get to the rooms, smelled horribly of cig smoke and pets. Carpet was soaking wet in front of one door, no number on our door or the one next to it. Room smelled like it had been closed for a long time. The kicker was getting up to no water in shower, nobody answering phone or at the front desk. 30 minutes later still can't get anyone. 1/2 step above roach motel.

Wth is goin' on with this "motel"? I should have read reviews before staying here. I truly do not know where 2 begin. I stay in hotels across NC an VA all yr long & never have I ever had such a dirty place. It cost me cleaning supplies I purchased myself to clean b4 I cld relax. Used my own sheets 2. Where r the employees working at this motel? Check in an out is a wait time that is unreal. I saw house cleaners but I think they r just 4 show. The mildew smell in hall way was atrocious. My floor an bathroom in room was unacceptable. Where is the person who is responsible for this business? The outside even has potential but awful. I do not understand how this place runs day 2 day. I have met house cleaners who actually care about their job an Where is the front house employees? I can't b
