StoneWind Retreat

Went for an anniversary trip to get away, reconnect, and unplug. This is THE place to do it! The yurts are so cozy, the hot tub is beyond relaxing, and the staff is hidden but available if you need anything. Highly recommend the couples massage to melt all your problems away. We will definitely be back! Forgot to mention: recommend coming in a truck or SUV since it is up a mountain. Thankfully the weather was dry the whole time and we had no issue in our car but next time we will likely bring our other vehicle just in case if inclement weather.

There are very few places that are "magical" that can truly grant peace. Stonewind Retreat is one of such few rare places. Nestled within the mountains, up a winding unpaved path, the entrance to the retreat waits quietly. A sign says "Leave your worries here. Take them when you leave (if you want to)." Sure, its silly, but everything seemed to melt away from our minds as we drove up the hill to the office. Check-in was delightful. Easy, clean. Our yurt was the Sanctuary Suite which was just that-a real sanctuary. Our other family stayed in a Vista yurt which was also amazing by all accounts. The decor, furniture, and amenities were all top notch. From basic condiments to a gas grill, we had nothing to worry about. A word of caution, which the staff will remind you of... nowhere is near

This is our 2nd year to stay at Stonewind Retreat and we plan to continue staying here each year we come to NW Arkansas for Razorback games we attend. It’s a secluded peaceful, adults only getaway. Each yurt offers privacy and space from others, and each is equipped with a private hot tub out on the deck. You do need a truck or suv to access this retreat as it’s off a gravel road up in the Boston Mountains. The views are amazing! Each yurt also has central heat and air to keep you comfortable inside, a small kitchen area, and laundry room. The staff are quick to answer the phone and assist you with whatever questions or needs you have. Highly recommend!

My husband and I were looking for a place to stay in the Ozarks. We came upon this resort and thought it would be neat to stay in a yurt but still have the conveniences of AC/heat, running water, etc. We stayed in one of the Vista cabins. The place was clean, kitchen had your basic utensils/pots/dinnerware, bed was comfortable, and the hot tub was great at night. We definitely had privacy and loved seeing the deer graze right by our yurt. We enjoyed exploring the area including Devil's Den state park. The views at the resort were beautiful but I will say it depends on the yurt on how well your view will be. Do not assume that you will get a better view with the Vista cabins (the trade off will be a little more privacy for the extra money). The drive in is a little rocky and rough. The clos

I had great experience in the yurt. It was cozy little cabin in the woods. We had all essentials. My husband had booked the massage which was the service provided by the resort for the extra price.
