Stone House Inn

We had an absolutely beautiful stay—this place is a true gem. The setting is stunning, the room was spacious, thoughtfully appointed, and incredibly comfortable, and the beach walk just steps away is magical. The breakfast spread each morning was carefully curated and delicious, clearly made with attention and love. I also want to express my deep gratitude to the team: I lost an item (entirely my fault), and they were unbelievably patient and went above and beyond to recover it and ship it back to me with such care. Kristen and Sara are simply the best—warm, gracious, and so attentive. I can't wait to return.

We were married in this inn in the 1980’s when it was owned by the Moore’s and was a grand old inn that had been taken care dearly with grace, devotion and love. |Going back to reminisce was a dreadful experience all around. The place looked like an IKEA showroom. Yes, as tawdry as that, sadly. |The service staff were inexperienced and had indifferent attitudes. It’s like the place had lost all its glamour and cosiness for convenience. It was a community hub where u would meet locals and sophisticated travelers alike. Now it feels barren and soulless… And the prices are off the charts! Good luck finding a stitch of the grand romance from the past, bc it’s been stripped of all character and charm. We keep our memories, some other poor suckers can have these leftovers.

My husband and I are fortunate enough to have recently stayed at the Stone House Inn. Our stay was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment we arrived, Sarah at the front desk greeted us with warmth and exceptional hospitality, making us feel truly at home. Sarah went above and beyond to take care of us during our stay. We felt truly taken care of. The property itself was stunning, with beautifully maintained grounds and a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax. The view from our room was absolutely gorgeous, and we especially loved biking to the nearby beaches—it was the perfect blend of adventure and serenity. The absolute best inn experience I’ve ever had. Christine at the front desk was so kind and made us feel so welcome. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, the pictures online do not do them justice! On the water with beautiful views from every room. I would HIGHLY recommend it

On arrival, we were greeted by a young man who showed us to our room, but only took us to the door. He didn't explain any of the numerous light switches or how to turn off the air conditioner (and the room was freezing). He literally said, "Here you are." and disappeared."||We stayed in the auxiliary building, the Barn, with newer rooms, but bathroom counters, paint, and furniture were chipped, scratched, and shabby, and the whole place could have used refurbishing. Our room felt like a motel room. There were lots of cabinets and drawers, but no amenities other than generic soap. The bathroom was large with good light, but no makeup mirror. ||The kitchen area had a refrigerator and freezer, coffee maker, and a microwave, however. there were no utensils, no corkscrew, no wine glasses.
