Stone Face Manor

Great food and friendly hosts. A beautiful home with nice scenery and a soft bed. Breakfast was delicious and the night time pastries are a good touch. Conveniently located in shawnee and a short drive to many nature locations. Would recommend to all my friends and family.

My boyfriend and I stayed for a night here and it was just wonderful. We ended up being the only people to stay as some rain scared away other guests, but the weekend turned out beautiful! The house was gorgeous, beautifully done with fun and interesting decor. We especially loved the kitchen and outside area! The owners were very warm and welcoming and made us feel right at home. Breakfast in the morning was superb, we only wish we were able to eat more! The raspberry wine sauce was incredible. This is absolutely a wonderful place to stay if you are hiking and exploring the National Forest. We especially loved their two cats, Smokey and Mack! Thank you to the owners for letting us stay at your beautiful home!

PERFECT!|Shannon met us at the door, took us to our room. She said when you are settled come down I have dessert and will show you around. The dessert was a chocolate cup with raspberry creme icing. The breakfast was wonderful also, so much food. Her husband Tim and Shannon joined us. We had a wonderful conversation about family, jobs and life in general. Make the trip!|We left feeling we made new friends.

We stayed here for 2 nights and from the moment we arrived we were greeted with a terrific level of hospitality! Apparently we were the first bikers to ride the Tunnel Hill State Trail and then the extra bit to the B & B. Shanna and Tim were incredibly accommodating to 2 tired, road-gritty bike riders. After cleaning up we had the pleasure of eating some homemade cream puffs, and the next afternoon post hike a delicious apple tart. The breakfasts were hearty and scrumptious! Shanna and Tim are good company as well, laid back and they really made us feel at home.|The accommodations were lovely and the setting is so peaceful. I wish I had taken pictures at the B & B. Instead there are pictures from our hike and the Tunnel from the bike trail. Southern Illinois is quite beautiful! Highly reco

My wife and I recently spent a weekend at Stone Face Manor, and really loved our stay. Shanna and Tim made us feel very welcome, and it was like we were staying with old friends. Breakfast each morning was fantastic, and we enjoyed afternoon baked treats as well! The location was great for a quiet weekend. Our hosts had many recommendations for experiences in the area, and we enjoyed our time sharing stories and laughter. We are already looking forward to our next visit. I can’t recommend them enough. Thank you for a memorable weekend!
