Stone Door Campsite

The campsite was great. Exactly as expected. There is about a 3 minute walk to the site so you dont hear any traffic or anything while at camp. The restrooms by the ranger station are air conditioned and clean. There's a fire ring at each campsite, and a water spigot at the entrance of the campsite. Its nice that its close to the Stone Door trail head, Laurel falls, and the Big Creek trails. Overall a great experience!

I like that it’s close to Laurel falls, but the sites are pretty disappointing. There isn’t a picnic table or fire ring at the sites, the 2 vault toilets smell like death, and they also do not have toilet paper (you can however use the bathrooms at the ranger station), and getting supplies to camp can be made a bit difficult due to all the tree roots sticking out of the ground on the path. There is a water spigot near the entrance to the camp loop so that is nice. The area seems to be louder than I expected too, having heard dogs bark in the distance all throughout the night.
