Starr Mountain Retreat

Have spent multiple nights here over the past 4years. Every year the owners have improved on the cabins and are currently working on a gathering place that will, I’m sure, be amazing. Can’t wait to come back! Beautiful location, well done cabins with great amenities. Look at this bathroom in the Davy Crockett!

Nice little cabins secluded in the forest! All the amenities and very cozy! The hosts are great people.

We visited in July 2021. We were upgraded! We had the opportunity to stay at The Mountaineer cabin (larger and with a private hot tub!) instead of the Woodsman. Nola and Brian are very attentive hosts. They took the time to show us where everything was and how everything worked in our cabin. They were both helpful with suggestions of activities to do around the area and even helped arrange one of them (a visit to an underground lake!) Quiet and peaceful, hiking on property and watching fireflies at night and eating campfire pies with the hosts. My wife and I are looking forward to future visits to this property!

100% would recommend! Our cabin was top notch and I can think of no other place to spend my summer vacation. If you love the outdoors and the secluded nature of the area, you'll love Starr Mountain Retreat! I cannot recommend this place enough.

What an absolutely beautiful location! Fun things to do in the area, or just relax and unwind. Crystal clear River nearby. Thank you so much for being such a great host! Highly recommended!!
