Stagecoach 66 Motel

The first room’s shower was filthy. I requested a second room. At least the shower was clean but the rest left a lot to be desired. I recommend that the staff learn how to clean. I might also add that one key fits all rooms. I mistakenly took my key back after locking the door on the first room. I went back to get my things to move to the next room. I used the new key in the old room and it worked. The next morning I tried that same key in my brother’s door to his room and it worked in that lock also. Fortunately the rooms has deadbolts with a screw screwed into it so that it could only be opened from the inside. Pictures of the first shower and the night stand that I wrote on included.

It was dirty. It smelled like pee and Pine-Sol. The shag carpet (who still has shag carpet in a hotel?) had balls of rabbit poo in it. ||||(No lie, as there are feral rabbits outside the room on the common area. It smelled like weed and tobacco out on the common area due to coffee cans full of butts. OUTSIDE, in the fresh air, it smelled like the smoking area of an airport.)||||The room itslef was just nasty, the sheets had human hairs on them and the toilet had stains on the edge. Keep going down the interstate and stop somewhere decent.||||(I would have argued about this place but the grand-daughter who "checked me in" did not know if I'd paid or not and complained that she "doesn't normally deal with this stuff." It was late and I stayed, to avoid further hassle.)||||THIS IS A HARD "NO"

I wish I had the guts to ask for a refund and find someplace else to stay, but we were exhausted and it was close to the time that most motels shut their lobby for the evening. Service was just fine at check in and booking, but the room was just...nasty. The door did not close all the way so all kinds of bugs and leaves were matted up in the old shag carpeting. I wouldn't go barefoot in this room if you paid me. I peeled back the bedsheets and found some traces of animal poo, like the kind of small presents a lizard would leave behind. Maybe it was rodents, who knows. I brushed them off with my exhaustion and hit the 1000 year old creaky mattress, against my better judgment. The best surprise was when I washed my face the next morning and unfolded a towel to dry off, only to find dead bug

Our tour bus broke down and we needed a u-haul to get the band equipment to Vegas and found this place. The owners were more than accommodating to us while we figured everything out as far as getting the bus fixed and getting the band and crew to Vegas. They offered some vacant rooms for some of the guys to shower. We sat at the bar and had a few drinks and ate some great burgers and fries. The bar is cozy and bartenders were very sweet. I hope to get back there in the future under better circumstances. Thank you all for your hospitality

Called an hour before they closed for the night and was able to book a room last minute; receptionist was very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Great place to stop for the night. Also if you cross the street so you’re a little further from the street lights you can do some great stargazing!
