St. Clair River House Vacation Rental

What an amazing place to stay. The house was comfortable, clean and accommodating. Andrew and his family created a perfect get away with the luxury of a hotel without feelings fussy or not at home. The beds were super comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and the view was worth every moment. We appreciated the opportunity to have our pup which didn't feel inconvenient at all. We enjoyed the experience so much we extended our stay with ease. I would definitely recommend staying here!!

My go to vacation ; A piece of heaven Few weeks ago, We had a wonderful summer weekend with my family staying at Pete and Karen’s property, who were amazing hosts. We had a great time there, playing , eating, going sightseeing and more. Words can’t describe how wonderful, warm and friendly they are. They took care of everything even the smallest ones such as providing children with different type of games and board games which , Pete and Karen extremely kid and nice to my son and their adorable dog “Sandy” was so friendly and played with my son. The cottage was extremely beautiful and surrounded by the river and trees. Having easy access to grocery, restaurants and antiques shops. Our family of all adults wanted a place to spend time together and relax, with watching freighters pass from the warm indoors high on the list. We also didn't want to drive hours to get there and back. The St Clair River House was perfect for this. Yes, the bedrooms are small (it's an old house), but the beds were very comfortable. More importantly, the big, open downstairs was a great place for six adults to gather without ever feeling crowded. The bathrooms were positively luxurious and the kitchen was well-appointed. Andrew and Susie were communicative hosts, which put our minds at ease. We are already talking about planning a return visit.

Love this place. I want to get back as soon as possible. It has one king and two queen beds and a bunk of twin beds. One queen and the king are in separate rooms. The other queen and twins share a room. Hope that helps. There are several sofas and a sofa bed. Heads up: Be aware that there are not any extra blankets. If it is chilly, bring some with you. Also, the dock is wobbly. There is no hand rail for the 25 feet or so from land to the sitting deck at the end. That area does have railings.

What a wonderful place to spend the week!!! The owners of this house really understand that you want to be pampered on vacation. Between the dual and triple shower heads, double waffle maker and mix, luxurious pillows on every bed and fresh roasted coffee...I almost forgot to enjoy the beauty of the river! Almost :) We stayed with our kids and there are a few really nice parks in the area as well as a delicious candy store (The Sweet Tooth) that the kids really enjoyed. If you’re considering this house, I recommend it without any hesitation!
