Squidders Overnight Lodge

I rented Squidders Overnight Lodge for a weekend, for some friends that were coming into town. We had planned it months in advance. . On the day of check-in, the lodge smelled damp and moldy, plus it also smelled strongly of rotting fish. It seems the refrigerator stopped working earlier that week, and it still had some leftover food in it from previous guests. That's where the smell of rotting fish came from. They replaced the old refrigerator that had the rotting food in it, with a dorm-sized model that wouldn't hold much. The building is old concrete with poor ventilation, that's been flooded multiple times, so I supppose that's where the damp and moldy smell comes from. . Warm, clean, cozy and close to the boat ramps. Russ, Debbie and Jeremy are always available to answer any fishing and hunting questions you may have. With live bait and all you hunting and fishing supplies right next door. A great little get away for hunters, fishers and people looking to get away from it all for a few days.

Stayed here while hunting the last few days of duck season. Awesome little place. Plan to stay again for some spring/summer fishing. Boat ramp is 1/4 mile or less from the front door.

Really cool "off the beaten path" kinda place. Mostly geared towards hunters and fishermen but that's not stopping us from staying even for just a vacation.
