Spruceton Inn

We had such a wonderful stay and truly loved the charming pleasures of staying at Spruceton Inn! Our Friday evening had the bonus of a cozy backyard firepit hang and the right vibe all around. Casey & Steven were incredibly gracious hosts and we can’t wait to return!

Friendly owners, simple clean room with good heat/Air Conditioning. A place you go to when you want to chill. Sleep in a hammock outside. Read books in their barn. Grill outside. Not fancy. There are only a few rooms and it was a friendly crowd in the Room 1 bar.

For those looking for a beautiful New York getaway, look no further! In August, my wife and I eloped at the Spruceton Inn, as a hurricane swept through New York. While this would have spelled disaster for most ceremonies, the Spruceton Inn is surrounded by beautiful mountains, trees, and creeks, and the rain and fog made an already beautiful property that much more breathtaking. Our lodging was very cozy and private, even though you have guests on each side of you. The rooms have everything that you need including cooking utensils and pots/pans. At night, guests were out and about enjoying drinks at a bar run by the Spruceton Inn’s owners, and even in the rain, there was a fire pit for those who wanted to enjoy the beautiful outdoors around them. This place truly felt like I was just visiting some friends. The beds are fantastic, the views are spectacular, the property has hammocks strewn around where I could spend a day reading listening to stream. Casey and Steve are the warmest hosts you'd meet. West Kill brewery is next door, just a 3 min walk in case you are here without a car, like me. Come as guests and leave as friends. I truly felt at home here because this is also a "book barn" - a barn full of books written by former residents. It's so lovely I almost want to keep this place a secret.

We had an absolutely magical stay here. The Inn is lovely and very comfortable and the landscape is gorgeous. Very peaceful and restorative, with lots of great hiking nearby. Also: a library in a barn! Can't wait to come back.
