SpringHill Suites by Marriott Miami Airport South Blue Lagoon Area

This hotel is very isolated without a private vehicle.Apparently there is a public bus that runs once an hour along the road outside the hotel but otherwise you’ll need an Uber or taxi. There is a small shop at the hotel but with very limited items. There is a Holiday Inn Express next door, but it doesn’t have any food facilities. ||The seating in the public areas was very stained and the floor hadn't been vacuumed, and we had arrived around 9.30am so you'd think it would be cleaned overnight. This wasn't in the breakfast area either.||The lighting in the room was very dim, there were dark corners in the lounge area. No floor lamp as shown in the publicity photos. Basically only a desk lamp and a dim bulb over the fridge/microwave area. It wasn't a relaxing space to be in. The be

Positive: The staff was very nice and accommodating. Negative: The elevator is painfully slow. A couple got stuck in the elevator while we stayed. The hotel didn?t want to call 911 to rescue them. It didn?t feel like an isolated incident. The rooms and hotel in general are absolutely not Marriot quality.

Came in from the Port of Miami after debarking from a cruise. We hadn't planned very well, as far as debarking at 10 and the hotel asking us to check in at 3. But we showed up and spoke with the front desk. The gentleman was super kind and wrote our information down and let us hang on the back patio area. He also checked our luggage so we didnt have to drag it around with us. It took about an hour and a half for our room to be ready (which was still about 1230, an hour and a half early!)....which was amazing. Check in was a breeze and we got a late check out (2pm, since our flight wasn't until 630pm today.....we'll plan better next time). Our room was clean and beautiful. I recently stayed at SpringHill Suites Miami Blue Lagoon Area and overall had a very positive experience. The hotel is in a great location — close to the airport. The check-in process was smooth and friendly, and the staff throughout my stay were helpful, polite, and genuinely kind. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with modern décor and plenty of amenities for a relaxing stay. The beds were comfortable. I also enjoyed the pool area and common spaces, which provided a nice place to unwind after travel. The complimentary parking (received this by being a Bonvoy Member) was a big plus. Has free shuttle from the airport at Zone 22 I believe but only 1 driver that comes every 30 mins. There is a shuttle for 15$ a person that goes to the cruise ports. The driver going to the port was very experienced and got us there fast. The hotel itself definitely needs to be remodeled. Our room did not have a trash can or ice bucket. The couch was dirty. The free breakfast was pretty disgusting. The hotel staff were very hospitable despite everything else.
