SpringHill Suites by Marriott Long Island Brookhaven

We stayed here as a family and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The room had a very strong unpleasant smell when we arrived, which made the stay uncomfortable from the beginning. It felt like the room either had not been aired out properly or there was some lingering odor in the carpets or ventilation. Breakfast was also below expectations. The selection was very limited — there was no yogurt and no waffles, which are usually standard options at many hotels. The whole breakfast area felt rushed and poorly stocked, and the juices did not taste good. Another issue was that our room had a connecting door to the neighboring room. For the price it's a very nice sweet to get a a rollout couch and a king bed and it's you know the amenities are pretty decent I got to say and it's you know for the price it's probably better than what I've experienced before on Long Island. I mean the breakfast can be even on this sometimes it's good sometimes it's not but you have cereal and you know oatmeal and things that are the choose from and drink from the coffee is not that good it never is it any hotel really. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!|Our stay was AWFUL. We were in town for the week for Christmas and our room was only cleaned once during our stay after numerous requests. On the sixth day we had the misfortune of having to deal with DANIEL, the worst front desk person in the history of the hotel industry. When we explained to him that there were dirty towels piling up, he did nothing. He refused to offer a solution. But he has the unmitigated gall to threaten us with canceling our reservation. I don’t take threats lightly and I am disappointed by his level of animus. The attached picture shows exactly how unwilling DANIEL was to help!!!

Had an excellent room but as the night started and it got closer to 11 pm. The room above mine, walked hard across the floor all night long. As it got closer to 1 am, I went to the front desk ro make a complaint. A young man was told to go to their room and let them know they were too loud. Shortly afterwards, they continued to walk louder and harder across the floor. This continued until 8 am the following morning and after I never got any sleep and I had to on my ear buds to block the noise, which didn't help at all. I went to the front desk ro complain again. After being told, how sorry they were and they would speak with their manager. I was given a small bag of snacks and a free water to make up for my lack of sleep. Our stay at the SpringHill Suites in Bellport was mixed. The room was a good size and the price was reasonable, and the staff we interacted with were friendly. However, the room itself felt very worn and somewhat dirty. The wallpaper was peeling, and under the window it appeared that mold may be starting. The bathroom also could have used a much more thorough cleaning. In addition, the bathroom doors required a lot of effort to open and close and made a significant amount of noise. Heating was another major issue. We stayed during a snowstorm, and there was an awful draft in the room. We kept turning the heat up, but the thermostat would automatically reset to 71, leaving the room uncomfortably cold throughout the night.
