Sprague's Kinderhook Lodge

Have been to Quilt Retreats at the lodge for many years. They never disappoint. This weekend was unusual as we got snowed in. The grounds were beautiful! Andy and Karen took good care of us, hosting us for another day. Brooke even jumpstarted my car when it was time to leave. Looking forward to the June retreat, without the snow.

This place is amazing and wonderful! Just celebrated my husbands daughters wedding here this weekend. A great place for family and friends to gather. There are accommodations for all of your guests to arrive and spend the weekend together. There are several different room arrangements to fit everyone's needs. The owners and staff are so friendly and welcoming. The grounds are picturesque. Colorful sunsets amongst the tall cornfields. Country home cooked meals are prepared by Wendy and Mary, and they give it their all in the kitchen. Waking up to the aroma of succulent cherry turnovers to delicate mouth watering biscuits. We didn't have a chance to experience this place beyond essentially an overnight hotel room, so I can't really speak to all the other features and amenities here. But we were just in town for a single night, looking for a place to stay, and there weren't m/any other hotel options we liked. We were a bit hesitant booking a room for the night here, but that was completely unfounded. The owner / operator/ manager (?), Andy, was very nice and helpful. Communicated consistently via text and call. We had no issues. The room was very nice, clean, and equipped (though we didn't use them, it had TV and a mini fridge). Bed was comfortable. We had our family reunion at Kinderhook with over 30 people there, ages 2 months to 83! It was an amazing place! There was a lot of rain during our stay but because there were so many bedrooms and large gathering places, we all stayed busy and enjoyed each others' company. When the rain stopped, there was plenty of room for outdoor games. The kids loved the pond. Even with so many of us, it was peaceful. The staff were so nice and helped make it a perfect week. We would definitely recommend and return!

Mt wife and I have spent the night there in the past and have loved it. The lodge is very clean and the atmosphere is impeccable! The country setting is extremely serene and relaxing. You can watch for deer and eagles all say long. The staff is very friendly and will go above and beyond to help make your stay an unbelievable experience. I highly recommend Sprague's Kinderhook Lodge!
