Sportsman's Cove

We loved our stay! We stayed at site 406 for 6 days. Very quiet at night and great views of Orange lake. Boat launch and docking available. You are located in between ocala and Gainsville . McIntosh is a very historical town and is simply adorable. Buy your groceries before you get there, there’s nothing close by but a dollar general.

Nice park. A little tight parking and RV water front but a very helpful camp host. Rated on 4 stars because road to water front not marked and map was a little confusing with all the buildings and extra turns...some signage with camp spots noted would be helpful.

This is the daily hostility guests are forced to deal with at Sportsman’s Cove. The first photo is the man ( Hoger )who repeatedly confronted guests entering our space without warning, pointing, raising his voice, and inventing new ‘rules’ every time he showed up. The two older park monitors ( KIM & KENT) the man and woman in the golf cart and in the yard also patrolled the park, approaching people’s RVs while they were gone and inspecting things without permission, This is not hospitality. It is surveillance, intrusion, and control and no paying guest should ever have to experience this. If the park wants to demand resort-level upkeep from guests, they should look in the mirror first because many of the RV and mobile home lots around the property have visible clutter and junk, yet those

✨✨✨ I have been on location since about August and, while being here, the staff here have been helpful and thoughtful throughout. Initially, I witnessed them struggle with a couple of people who were bad actors on site (I believe they may have posted false reviews on here), but what was reassuring was that those folks were asked to leave. In the time since those folks were evicted, it has been so nice here. The employees who work here know what is important to the travelers and renters here, and you can tell they take their job seriously. Another bright spot. They have been building new facilities on site to freshen up accommodations, like a new laundry facility and a game room with vending machines. The docks all seem to be maintained and watched over, with no rotten wood or eye sores. I

We've been parked at Sportsmans Cove from late Winter to early Spring. We absolutely love it!! The area is quite and very pleasant. The neighborhood is romantic. Great fishing in the lake and in the cove. Showers, Laundry room and machines are very clean. The owner and workers are all very hospitable. Definitely our favorite place.
