Sportsman Inn and Suites

Pro: It's cheap. Con: You get what you pay for. It was convenient, clerk was pleasant, A/C, microwave & fridge ++, bed cl ean & comfortable. Bathroom redone sometime in the past 10 years. However, don't believe the website pictures. No lobby, no breakfast, no coffee pot, couch horrifyingly filthy, paint job 30-ish years old, floors nasty. We're not picky, but I'll pass on this place next time.

I purchased a room at the Sportsman Inn last night. One step in the room and I was immediately hit with an awful smell. The room was absolutely disgusting and filthy. The walls and door had crud on them everywhere. The bathroom was equally disgusting with a strained shower curtain and stained walls. There even appeared to be dried blood on the bathroom wall. Even the television had something smeared on the screen and the mirror had something splattered on it. I have stayed in 100's of hotels across the US and Canada. Most were good and a few not so good but I have never experienced lodging a bad as the Sportsman Inn in Antlers, OK. It's on a whole different level of disgusting. The general appearance was run down. The front door stays locked and you have to ring a bell to get staff, even at 3:00 pm in the afternoon. Certainly doesn't give a warm, fuzzy feeling on arrival. Staff at desk looked confused when I asked to check in, even though I had reserved the room a month or so ahead of time. Room had a mildew smell when we walked inside. Window left open and smell cleared out. General housekeeping was in need of a redo. Surfaces like door and walls were obviously dirty. Hole in bathroom wall was just creepy. This is your basic motel, not a hotel, if you are working out of town or on a hunting trip with your buddies its just fine but if you are with your wife and kids I would give it a hard pass, a happy life is a happy wife and she won't be here! The rooms are very plain and basic and not dirty but you definitely don't get that clean feeling when you walk into them either. Amenities are very limited to non-existeence, no vending machine, no pool, just a place to get clean and get some sleep.

Stayed here over the weekend. Was very quiet and managment was very understanding when i asked to view a room first. Found no bugs and air worked great! Had no complaints or problems except the pool has been taken out that had been there a while but as far as cleanliness and hospitality i was very impressed and for a great price! Gave 5 stars
