Spirit Lake Casino & Resort

The issue is with the service and accommodation. My husband had knee replacement surgery a day before, his follow up appointment is in Devils Lake so we had to spend the night here. He needs to take medication with food. The continental breakfast is in the buffet and tI was told by the front desk worker I would not allow me to bring him food back, even after explaining the situation. He is a Native American Veteran. It would have been fine if they had restaurants here that I could have picked up breakfast for him but there are no other options except for the gift shop snacks. Some consideration and flexibility needs to be considered in these circumstances. Do better, be kind. Update: I went to the buffet to bega biscuit or something for my husband. Overall the hotel was a decent stay. The room was fairly clean and in good shape. Basic amenities supplied which was very nice however when drawing a bath/shower, black buildup came out of the faucets at first. The buffet had few selections and no ice cream at all. The fried chicken was delicious. The breakfast ran out an hour before it was scheduled to close. The breakfast room was very small and not very clean. The staff was very nice and very welcoming in the hotel and dining areas. The pool was out of commission for remodeling. This caused some rooms to experience AC outages and the lack of a pool near a holiday weekend seemed to be very poor scheduling. Probably won't be back!

My favorite overall casino and hotel/resort! Alot of fun everytime, overall great experience. Staff/employees are always fun to talk to and always in a good mood. Weather you like machines, table games, good food, or nightlife they have absolutely anything and everything you'd even need/want. I no longer drink myself but they also have a brand new remodeled bar, it is also very large and entertaining... literally something for everyone, even the hotel has a mini arcade for the kids. Then also a pool with a water slide, hot tub, steam room the list goes on and on and on, stop in and check it out you will not be disappointed i promise!!!

The food at The View was delicious & reasonably priced. I love that they use local farmers for their meat dishes. Food was fast & so good! Our server was a nice young lady who was polite & quick. Paul Matheny was very courteous & helpful with it being our first time there. We loved The Waters Edge Bar. It was spacious with pool tables, foosball & pinball machines. We won on the slot machines & there were plenty of fun machines to choose from. We went to Firehouse & Warrant. The concert venue was the perfect size & volume & visibility was great! We will come back again & again! Thank you Spirit Lake!!!

Alcohol was NOT the best decision they did. Went to indoor concert and seen way too many drunk people. Two were vaping 2 rows ahead of us. Younger women were way too loud during the concert, enough that the musician made a comment about it on stage. Very disrespectful to the duo that was performing.
