Spencer Country Inn

Let me state up front, I was married here 34 years ago to the love of my life. As such, my review might be slightly idealistic. The food is outstanding, the staff are kind, pleasant, and attentive. If you like an old, country barn style atmosphere, this place is for you. In my humble opinion, Spencer Country Inn fires on all cylinders.

The inside of the big hall is beautiful. A very nice, comfortable, pretty setting. We were there for a formal event. The drinks are overpriced for what you get, for sure. The food was good, but it could have been a lot warmer. The service was good. They were very quick to take your dirty dishes out of the way. The bathrooms were very clean. I'm not sure the cost to rent out the hall, but I do know they are always doing weddings and such. They have a beautiful outside setting as well. If the weather is nice, definitely a great place to have an outside event!

We had our wedding at Spencer Country Inn and I truly cannot say enough good things about the experience. From start to finish, Amy — the venue coordinator — was an absolute dream to work with. She was organized, reassuring, and genuinely cared about making everything perfect for us. She went above and beyond in every possible way. At one point, I was literally about to walk down the aisle without my bouquet, and Amy stopped me, sprinted back to my room, and got it for me — talk about a lifesaver! I handed her all of my décor the day before, and she set everything up more beautifully than I could have imagined. It felt like she pulled the vision right out of my head. I had the pleasure of having my baby shower here and it was absolutely beautiful and amazing! Amy was great to work with and very helpful. There was plenty of delicious food and very affordable compared to other venues. They also allowed us to create our own dessert table for our Safari theme and set up whatever decor we wanted. There was also no time limit for when guests had to leave by. Definitely recommend giving them a call if you are planning a baby shower.
