Spacious Skies Campgrounds - Balsam Woods

We stayed for my Birthday and it was so peaceful and quiet, exactly what we were looking for!! They offer weekend activities and we were there during Spooky Season; the park was tastefully decorated and festive for Fall, they even had a Haunted Trail for those looking for activities without even needing to leave the campground. The store had everything we needed during our stay and we even had the option of a light menu for things like pizza and ice cream right there on site. We would absolutely go back!

My partner and I stayed at Balsamwoods camping ground over the Labor Day holiday weekend. We had such a great time. If you like being in a true forest type setting this is the place for you. We didn’t want to leave on Monday. Oh and the bathrooms are probably the cleanest camping ground bathrooms you will ever find :). ||||The new owners in the house Brad and Melanie were so welcoming to everyone and made us feel at home. Melanie is such a sweetheart we looked forward to our evening walks up to the store to get ice cream and talk with her. ||||So glad we have reservations already for next year at this place. It’s a perfect escape from Augusta.

Nice campground. We have stayed in deluxe cabin 6 three times. Always clean and neat. Has pet waste stations which are kept clean and have baggies available. Enjoyed our stay very much.

We stayed in cabin 4 which was eclipse, one of the luxurious cabins. They had everything we would need and more! Loved the safety feeling of staying up here. Which is rare in the deep woods. A minor detail that we noticed was under the bed was a cup and someone else’s underwear. Also spider webs up in the corners of the bathroom, we didn’t mind it but there is some people who would. I’m an honest person. We stayed for one night and was here last year! Definitely will be back again every year!

Beautiful setting in wooded area with spacious campsites and wonderful amenities including swimming pool (summer), game room, large "bounce" bubble, "panning for gold/gems" activity, laundry, and a large selection of DVD's. Spacious Skies is near ATV/Snowmobile trails and Appalachian trailheads in nearby Monson. Owners are very friendly with helpful suggestions about activities in the area.
