Southfork Resort

This resort has recently changed hands. The new owners are working hard to Improve and enhance the resort. The owners are very friendly and enthusiastic about plans that are in the works. It is in a beautiful, peaceful location with a river right next to it. We will be watching as it morphs. I would recommend it for the available cabins and family fun.

We had a group of 13 people stay at the resort this last weekend, coming from Oklahoma, Kansas, and even some locals. We rented the 2 bunkhouses, which were perfect for our group! We loved that we could open the door between the rooms and spend time together. The beds were great, with full/twin bunk beds and a couple futons. There was TV and wifi. Mini-fridge and coffee pots were available on each side. And a bathroom with shower. We appreciated all of the available towels and the bed linens. Everything was super clean as well. It felt like "adult summer camp" for our group. The big front deck looking out on the river was perfect. Our 1st time to stay here and it was an overall great experience! Only down side was there wasn't much play area of the river for kids, but good fishing. We had a reserved cabin, and after riding in a car for several hours, I wished the AC would have been on upon arrival . The highway is super close but it isn't very distracting. Cabins were clean and staff was very helpful! The float trip was awesome!

I went to this so called Resort last year, I paid in advance, Which was my first mistake. When I arrived there I couldn’t find anybody at the office which had a closed sign on it. I knocked several times at the door hoping someone may possibly be there. I had just driven 700 miles and was tired and hoping to relax after my long drive. After walking around for several minutes hoping that someone could help me with my reservation, A lady seen me and called out to me. The lady was a housekeeper for the resort and she then tried to call the owner/ Manager of the resort, Sadly she was unable to reach her. So she then took me to the various cabins hoping to find the one that I had reserved. After several attempts she thought she had found the cabin because it was open. Upon entering I was horrif

Not a good experience at all. The staff was really friendly when we first got there... before we paid. But they got more and more nit picky the longer we were there. I was sitting, reading a book, while my family played by the river however, the fun was over when the owner started screaming at my family from roughly 200 yards away! How embarrassing! My family was only playing On the edge of the river; not making a big ruckus or getting wild, which is why it was so over the top for this woman to be yelling. Of course, they immediately stopped playing and came to sit around our table, totally confused by her behavior.
