South Sioux City Marriott Riverfront

Beautiful setting in an otherwise unspectacular geographical landscape. Right on the river with great views, with a nice open feel, both inside and out. First floor riverview rooms open to the outside via a sliding door, and makes a lovely perk when you are traveling with dogs. The sports complex, aquatic center, and a most excellent dog park are nearby. It’s virtually empty in the offseason months, and it’s a nice oasis for those who frequently find themselves traveling across the Midwest. Steakhouse on the second floor serves more upscale dining fare, and is worth dropping in for a taste.

Positive: spacious room, clean and comfortable. Onsite restaurant with excellent food. Beautiful view Negative: Please, furnish with a double couch/love seat so my husband and I can sit next to each other when relaxing.

We were so spoiled to be upgraded to a river view suite which even in December was stunning. Can’t imagine how perfect this place looks in summer time. The room featured a patio that made potty time a snap for my pup! The hotel felt extremely clean, modern, and was a truly great, safe location. I will absolutely be back!

The check-in was efficient and friendly, and I was treated to an upgrade suite, which was much appreciated. The facility is clean and does a nice job with conferences. The on-site restaurant is really good. i had a wonderful meal there. Opportunities include keeping clean towels at the pool. The key system had to have keys remade twice. The TVs were not working in the room, and they had to have maintenance. Come fix that. At the end of the day, there are plenty of free parking gorgeous views of the river.

We got a suite for a concert at Tyson Event Center. For the price we paid, you would expect the room would be cleaned and well maintained? Not the case at all. The jacuzzi tub was filthy, windows completely dirty, dust, dirt and cobwebs all over the room and not to mention all the dead bugs all over the ceiling. We asked front desk twice to at least get the jacuzzi tub cleaned. They "cleaned" it which consisted of just running a little bit of water to clean the gunk by the drain and pick up some dirt from in the tub. However, the nasty dirt rings around the whole tub stayed so we did our best to clean it ourselves. The exhaust fan in bathroom doesn't work and looks like has never been cleaned. Definitely would not recommend and will not stay here again.
