Songbird RV Park

We stayed for four nights in September 2025, along with several other RV’ers during a group trip to East Texas. What a great place! The owner, Cynthia (who greeted us herself when we checked in, and whom we saw several times during our stay), clearly has put a lot of thought and care into this park. It was well laid out, clean, and quiet. The different sitting areas, some with fire pits, were so welcoming. The shower rooms and laundry room also were nice. Strong wi-do also. We especially loved the little garden, the walking path, and the pond. We loved seeing and hearing frogs and birds!

Nice little park. Well maintained and staff seems very attentive. Reasonable monthly rates if you’re staying long term. Lots of mature trees and pond is very scenic. Gravel roads and pads. WiFi is strong but be aware no cable tv.

Songbird is a brand new park that I'm glad to see, because this is an area where there aren't many RV options! I have some acreage nearby but it's so rough that I can't get my big travel trailer into it, plus I would have to boondock anyway. So this is a great place to stay for me when I want to spend more than one day at the land. Songbird has 50/30/20A electric service at every site, city water, and on-site sewer. Live sewer is a huge thing to me, because I can't tell you how much I enjoy being able to take a long, hot shower without having to do the 30-second RV Rinse Dance. There is a laundromat in the office building, along with a park restroom and shower facility. WiFi internet is available, and reaches out to the camp sites. Disappointed to say the least. We asked for a back in place but we’re allocated a “buddy” park on same pad as another trailer literally 5’ from our door. We were unable to put out the awning or sit outside due to being so close to our neighbor. Sitting on drivers side of trailer was out of question due to aroma of sewage from the anaerobic sewer sprinklers. Highway 287 noise was bad also. Majority of park is occupied by full timers who appeared to have some decent pads, for $39 per night we did not. Must say the Wifi was the best we’ve had in a long time, we were able to live stream on our IPad. Update! Owner did call to apologize and offer to compensate us which we declined. This is a beautiful and peaceful RV Park, two private clean restrooms with showers, plus coin laundry. Small fishing pond and small dog park. Nice landscaping, with a small garden, mostly long term tenants but also has RV spaces for overnight campers. Would stay her again when passing through.
