I stayed at this campground in May 2025 while passing through Oklahoma, and it turned out to be a really cool spot. I got incredibly lucky...I was literally the only overnight camper, so the place was wonderfully peaceful and quiet, exactly what I look for when camping. During the day I met some friendly locals (a woman and her daughter) who were hanging out in the water to cool off after their AC broke. They added a nice, laid-back vibe and were very friendly. I was there on a Thursday, so timing definitely worked in my favor. The locals told me it can get extremely busy there on weekends. Overall, a great little gem for anyone wanting a serene camping experience!

This is a nice place to swim in a clear spring river/creek. It’s not deep in most places. Campground is a bit rugged. No shower facilities seen but there are outhouses supplied with toilet paper. You MUST take your trash out. This is a family run property. Show respect! You can metal detect here with permission from the office but you cannot take artifacts. You can rent flotation devices for the water.

I like to go on weekdays since it can get really crowded and loud on weekends. I usually bring snacks with me and some people bring grills and camp. There are a few picnic tables and some play areas with older playground equipment my companion quipped looked like something out of Nightmare on Elm Street. Dogs are allowed, however, I've never brought mine. It's a nice place to swim when it's not crowded.

Cold and clear water at a lovely location. We will be back. It was only $6 a person to swim for the day. You do have a bit of a walk down to the water, depending on where you park.

Get Your Creek On This privately owned campground is an Ozark valley treasure. It's located alongside a springfed stream that's clear, refreshing, and full of life. The grounds are well kept. Picnic tables, BBQ grills, bathrooms, and homemade signs are everywhere. There's even some playground equipment. The property borders public Corps of Engineer lands making downstream day-trips a must. There are so many great places to stop, relax, swim, fish, and behold. This is a primitive campground with no showers, electrical or water hookups. Fees are per person, per day. No extra fees for RVs. Pack it in - Pack it out. NO GLASS bottles signs are posted throughout. They are serious. The valley and stream bring a chill to the night here, bring, buy, or gather firewood. Don't forget the hoodie.
