Smart Choice Inn

This hotel was exactly where I needed it when my truck broke down in winter weather. The mechanic next door was a gem, fixing my truck after hours so I could get home the next day. The rooms are ok. Could use some updating, but after thoroughly checking both beds, did NOT see bedbugs as others have mentioned. It’s a budget hotel, and you expect the outdated, slight mustiness and minimal breakfast (pop tarts, bread, cereal). But it was just what we needed in an emergency situation, and met my expectations for the price :)

Don’t get irritated by the look of the personell, they are friendly and helpful. The room was clean and it was very good for a one night stay during a roDtrip

For the biggest gripe, they are theives!!! We stayed there during a family trip, and we had multiple things stolen! Headphones, t-shirt, medication, lotion, among other things. Very unacceptable!! When you call and ask them, they say we have new people and that’s their excuse….. new people can steal and that’s okay?? The hot water rarely worked, and just can’t get over the stealing fact. Would highly recommend not staying here. Go to Mitchell, or keep driving.

There are so many budget hotels out there squeezing customers and slacking on the basics, and this one does neither. There were no funky smells in the room, and it had good amenities, even a larger than normal mini-fridge. Everything was clean and properly installed. The bed was not of sup-par comfiness, and the pillows were above-par comfiness. No sketchy vibes and no noisy neighbors during my stay. They even have a simple breakfast bar. There is cheap gas and a place to get hot food nearby. I would even feel comfortable bringing a small, well-behaved family here in a larger room for a night or two. I was very thankful for such a comfortable stay on my trip east.

Disgusting!! Bed bugs in our first room there was one crawling on the bed as we get ready to go to sleep, musty smell ac was crap dirty sheets the hole place was super hot got a new room and there were roaches!! And the desk guy tried saying they weren’t bed bugs when they clearly are..
