Sky Palace Inn By OYO Anthony KS

This hotel is family owned and has great customer service. The hotel manager is a sweetheart and ready to help you with anything. They are in the middle of a change in ownership, and we're in the process of updating the rooms. We did not have reservations, and the manager was able to squeeze us in for the night during a busy city balloon festival that had the community packed with people. The place definitely needs a little TLC, but the staff were friendly and helped me find a restaurant still ooen after 9pm. For the place being located in the middle of now, where, I was thankful for a bed to put my head on.

Man at checkin was very nice and extremely friendly, that was the end of the good things! Room was filthy, carpets dirty and smelled, plate glass window was broken extensively and taped , Wi-Fi didn’t work unless you walked across parking lot to office area. Dead bugs in room, security lock didn’t work, no chain or any other security feature on door, bare wires hanging from ceiling where light fixture should be, Black tape holding shower diverted onto tub, hole in ceiling in shower. No ice machine available, man at checkin said health department forbids ice machines, 73 years old never heard that one before! No coffee in room, man said breakfast was across the street in a building that looked like an EMS station, didn’t hand around for breakfast just slept a few hours and got out of there.

Incredibly kind owner, and breakfast to order. While traveling through Kansas on business, I booked a room at this vintage hotel because the listing said breakfast included. What it didn't say was that it's breakfast made to order at the historic 1930's style diner next door. The owner himself comes your breakfast, whatever you want. And the coffee is free and delicious, served up with a generous dose of kindness by this hotel owner. While the rings are dated, they have all of the amenities a traveler really needs including microwave, frigate, hairdryer, iron, ECT. The rooms are clean, and the beds are concussions. I would stay again..

I had a late check in, but the man at the reception was so kind and didn't seem to mind that I didn't get there until after 11:00 p.m. the listing mentioned breakfast included, it was to my surprise that this is breakfast to order at the very adorable nostalgic vintage diner next door. Built in the 1930s, this rustic reminder of a Time gone by should be on the historic register. Free coffee, bacon eggs and pancakes to order I was back on the road again and off on my way. Thank you to the sky Palace Anthony for getting me a soft place to land on my business trip through Kansas. You just can't beat free coffee!

The owner, Jesús, is very nice and will even cook you breakfast for free at the 8 seat diner next door. The rooms are clean and comfortable, they do need a little remodeling which the owner is in the process of doing. The rooms even come with a refrigerator and microwave. Overall a great stay at the Sky Palace in Anthony, KS.
