Six South St Hotel

Best not to book room 220 or those next to it because there is a recycling center ( or something that sounds like that) across the alley next to the hotel. Very loud especially in the morning. The hotel was just about empty so no reason to put patrons there at all. The only parking offered is by valet which costs $35 per night. Our car sat in hotel driveway with another since it wasn’t busy. Public parking garage nextdoor has lower rate and a couple of level 2 EV chargers by Charge Point. Common hotel shower water control had no rhyme or reason to the hot/cold setting and took a bit of time to set right. Blasting hot was very hard to mix with cold. The biggest problem is the weight of the room’s entry door. Or the hinges are too tight? That door could cause a concussion if you do

This hotel is fabulous!!! The room was great, the beds were fantastic, and it was very clean. They have a lot of extra touches, and the staff is great, very friendly and helpful. I LOVE the scent of the hand soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. I asked about it and ordered some when I got home. I have stayed at Hanover Inn, and I personally think Six South is nicer.

Robes are gorgeous. The bathroom has SPACE TO PUT MAKEUP. Full counters. The shower is a bit strange but they have full soap and conditioner containers. The parking garage is close and they have valet. Did not have the opportunity to stop by the bar downstairs but it seemed popular. Everything is clean and the sheets and TV were nice.

I am not a fan of writing negative reviews but in this case I want to caution anyone booking here. I had a one night stay on thanksgiving for myself and my daughter and our dogs. This hotel is listed as pet friendly. The rate I received from bookings.com was 215.92 for our one night stay. When we arrived at the hotel the evening of our stay I was handed a piece of paper by the front desk staff and asked to sign it. They did not explain what it was for until I asked for an explanation. They said it was a pet charge of 125.00 plus tax for the pets, bringing this one night stay to now 340.92. I had no knoweldge of this fee. To make matters worse, I was then asked for my card to charge 50.00 for incidentals, for 1 night. I can't imagine what there was to buy at that late hour for 50.00, and we

We had a chance to stay at the Six South Street Hotel during a recent trip to Hanover. There are many pluses to recommend this hotel. The rooms are very nice and well maintained. The hotel has a very nice bar and a good restaurant that serves tapas-style dishes. ||Best of all is the hotel's location - which is right in the middle of Hanover.||The hotel has drive in/out valet parking (for a fee)||If you book a stay, ask for a room that is NOT near the town trash compactor, It is used all the time and is very nosy
