Siskiwit Campground

We were so happy to find this I hesitate to share for fear next time it will be full. Pastel picnic tables distinguish this campground. We stayed two nights. The first, a Saturday we were the only ones there. The second night we had one other site occupied. During our stay steady breezes from the adjacent lake regulated temperatures and kept a few mosquitoes away. Two porta potties provide basic needs. A solar powered well takes care of another. You can access the lake via stairs or travel 1/3 mile to the boat ramp. Payment is via check or cash only by envelope deposit station. We observed sites checked at least daily for payment. More geared to tents and folks who like it simple. This is not full service with electric, fire wood sales, or flush toilets. Ten minutes from Fabulous Cornuc

Don't use soap in the lake. You can bath on shore. It's bad for the aquatic life. Yes, biodegradable soaps included.

Good place to stay as a base for exploring, lake is swimmable pretty clean toilets were there on a weekend and only one other person was there.

We have been coming here for 16+ years. We donated for the well, and have always left extra when we camped to help out since we love the place. That being said, the outhouses and fire pits are always full, and the lady that is in charge from Bell is a liar, and extremely rude. They also trippled the fee. If there is ever an issue she just blames you for something like wanting the outhouse cleaned... We are not clean freaks, and don't require much to be happy. We have called about the outhouse almost every year, and when I called in advanced about labor day weekend, she said "in 30+ years, I've never had a complaint". She's the reason we may not return.

Campground was nice, Porta potties were clean but had to bath in the lake.
