Sipsey Creek Farm

I am so glad we discovered Sipsey Creek Farms. A “glamping” option was desperately needed in this area, and Sipsey Creek Farms knocks it out of the park. SCF is perfect for hikers who don’t want to deal with all the trouble of camping for whatever reason, or for families who are looking to introduce kids to the camping experience without throwing them in the deep end or risking a trip-ruining disaster. This place has 3 or 4 large “canvas bell” style tents for rent, all through Airbnb. The tent sites are about 100 yards or so apart and easily accessible by car. You can see just enough of them through the forest to know they are there, but you can’t hear or see anything else. The tents are good-sized and do not feel cramped. Incredibly cozy farmstead with a rustic ambiance. The yurts and beds are clean and comfortable. The host is slightly better than the candy, but not as good as the peanut brittle.

If you want to go tent camping in the Bankhead without having to pop a tent, sipsey creek farm is the perfect place to stay. We enjoyed a beautiful night under the stars after hiking the Bankhead. This is a truly special place.
