My stay was absolutely wonderful! The hotel has a beautiful Colonial American feel that immediately transports you back in time, perfectly matching its historical location. Everything from the decor to the ambiance reflects classic charm with modern comfort. The staff was truly great—warm, attentive, and always eager to help with a smile. It’s rare to find a place that blends history, comfort, and hospitality so seamlessly. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates character and top-notch service!

The Simsbury 1820 house is a charming historic hotel located in the heart of Simsbury. It is conveniet to the main walking paths and restaurants, banks, etc. Located on the main town road but offset. The rooms are styled to its 1820 appearance and feature marble tiled floors. That comes wirh good and bad. Walls are thin and you could hear noise from above and below. The beds were quite squeaky if you tossed. Outlets are sparse and TVs have old cable technology. The breakfast is more than a basic continental and they provide bagels, pre-wrapped sausage, egg, and cheese sandwiches, individual cereals, pastries, apples, oranges, juices, and a high tech machine for coffee and tea. This Inn is an excellent get away spot. We had family in the adjacent Carriage House as well as the main Inn. The Service is excellent with a great greeting as you sign in. Your stay comes with a great continental breakfast each morning. There is also a wonderful restaurant at the inn that has an excellent wait staff. The kitchen did a great job and the food was delicious, especially the Sea Bass!! After a quick trip this is a place you want to come back too.

Overall this was a lovely spot to stay. Great location and very quiet. We stayed in the queen room and it was comfortable. We had drinks at the bar and they were ok. Not a huge selection but drinks were still good. Only issues was on our last morning. We packed up and went out to breakfast, rooms service assumed we had checked out when we hadn’t and went ahead and took to cleaning and emptying our room. Kind of annoying only because we had a later flight and we were wanting to rest a little before check out. Not a huge deal but that was the only issue. Other than that we would definitely stay here again.
