Silver Creek Hotel

This was my third time visiting and I don't know if I'll be back. I was impressed enough the first two trips by the breakfast to return twice! This third trip, not so much. Now you have to pay and extra TEN dollars for the egg bar. Prior to this regular scrambled eggs were provided in the breakfast. Today the breakfast was yogurt, waffles, cereal, oatmel, and bagels. The only protein in sight was peanut butter. The pool and other accommodations are still wonderful though.

Very nice hotel horrible service for hockey teams. They advertise and want hockey teams to stay during tournament weekends but won't let the kids play. 30 or 40 kids around the hotel with nothing to do. If you don't want kids to have fun don't give hockey teams a discount and ask them to stay. They are only allowed to play in the pool are not allowed to drink the water in the lobby and not allowed to make any noise. The front desk would follow them around giving them a hard time the whole weekend. If your going for skiing it would be great if you going to Hockey find another place to stay.

Cheaper option, and it was priced accordingly. Shower curtain and shower like you'd find at home, pump soap that was partially filled (Myer's from the local store). Convenient that you can go out the sliding glass door on the first floor to get to your vehicle, but the locks don't work well. Breakfast was mediocre. Hot tub/pool were nice.

The gentleman at the front desk was great. The other staff, on the other hand, was terrible, the head housekeeper knocking on my door at 09:00 am, wanting to clean the room, sent a message that “we don’t care that you spent $200 for a room for the night, we want you out. Breakfast was a fail, one person, that doesn’t speak English well, making one omelet at a time, couldn’t keep up with demand, so had to skip the “free” breakfast.
