Siesta Motel

Word of advice: Stay away from this hotel. The management is very unprofessional and unaccommodating. I had made arrangements to have a room cleaned and would come back within a couple of hours to check in. The manager assured me she would have it cleaned up and ready to check into by a certain time. When I came back to hotel at the agreed upon time, she had not even touched the room to do as she said. Instead, she tried to move me to another room that I did not want. I drove 30 minutes out of my way to come back to find this wasting my gas and time. The management does what they want to suit themselves completely disregarding a customer's request. They then recommended I try another hotel across the street unless I took what they wanted to force upon me when I trusted them. The

I travel through the area every month and have been staying at the Siesta Motel. The rooms are clean and you can count on "words for thought" on the main sign. If you need to have a 5 star motel Boise is another 120 miles but if you would like a decent room for the right price give them a try. The area boasts of some incredible natural features such as "Balanced Rock" and Hagerman Falls. Hey folks, have you ever been to the Fern Grotto in Kawai? Imagine that type of watershed event in the desert. It is breathtaking and worth the time to see. This place is "Under new Management" and it is a dump! We made reservations via phone, when we got there, the screen was bent and hanging off the window, an old toilet sitting up front, trash everywhere. So I called the woman - nobody was at the office, even though I gave her the exact arrival time, which was 3pm. She said the door is open, so walked in. The room was cramped and more like a jail cell than anything else. I called her back and told her we are canceling the reservation. We were rather sleeping in the car! But, lo and behold, she charged my credit card for two nights! Not only that, but she used the name "Gooding Motel" - Gooding is also in Idaho, but I have never been there. I called her, but she refused to reverse the charges. I had the credit card company refund the money.

This was the worst experience I have ever encountered with a hotel. First off we went to a family reunion and my aunt had payed for my hotel in advance. Didn't get to the hotel until 3am and went straight to bed. The next morning I went to take a shower, It was disgusting, No Way I was taking a shower there. Then I examined the room the a little more. It looked as if it hadn't been vacuumed in a while. So we checked out and went to the Oregon Trail across the street. This was not the worst part. We had accidentally forgotten our debit card in the motel room. Not noticing until the trip was over we reported it lost. If I could post a picture I could show you the grid shower and the disgusting stain on the sheet. There is a sign on the bathroom door not to put the paper in the toilet, again, ewww. I'm glad I travel with my own pillows and blankets.
