Sherwood Forest Campground

This is a hidden jewel of a campground. Geared towards long term campers, SFC lends it self to great family and friend experiences. While it may lack some of the amenities of larger corporate campgrounds it more than makes up for it with reasonable pricing, beautiful scenery, convenient access to boating/ water sports/ beach going, and the ability socialize with your neighbors in a relaxed atmosphere. Great place full of good times.

My Husband and I have been renting at Sherwood Forest since 1987. We fully intend to renew our lease. It is a wonderful place for family and friends. Campground is very clean and well maintained. Rules are very reasonable and protect all campers. We have made some awesome friends over the years and enjoy getting together at Sherwood Forest. We get together to eat, sit around the campfire roasting smores, swimming and fishing and more. The owners are doing a terrific job and are very friendly and fair. Sherwood Forest is absolutely one of the very best places on the lake.

My sister has a camper at Sherwood Forest and we have been going there since she set up her trailer there. We go there to get away from the everyday life of working, and being on the go all the time. We had no friends after living here for 9 years, now we do, thanks to Sherwood Forest Campground. Not only are they friends but more like family!! The owners have improved the landscape, make sure there is plenty to do for everyone. My grandchildren love it here. Holidays or any day is the best place to celebrate.||Before anyone passes judgment they should come and see what we are all about.||You would have an extended family because that's what we are!!!!||Wendell, North Carolina

As a member of SFC for a few years now my experience has been nothing short of awesome! I'm writing this review solely with the intent to condone the most recent negative review that was posted. After doing a little research into this particular person's review. I quickly realized all the reviews this person has posted, have been negative ones by nature. And so be it, everyone is entitled to their opinion. So, here's mine! Life is about choices... SFC thankfully is a year round campground, it is gated and it is full of people absolutely grateful to have the opportunity to stay at Lake Gaston without having to shell out millions of dollars to experience it! I have been at this campground for 5 years and love it. I will be renewing my lease again. I have recommended friends to come to Sherwood Forest campground because it is a wonderful place to stay and will continue to do it. I go to Sherwood Forest to relax and visit with my friends. Sherwood Forest is family oriented. The present owners of the campground have done a lot of improvements and maintaining it. They are very caring and friendly people. I am thankful to have such wonderful people running the campground.
