We had a great stay from Saturday 27th December to Saturday 3rd January as a family of 4. Quick check in. We were on the 25th floor so our elevator was located separately, so we never waited long. Everything you needed in the room, fridge, iron, ironing board and hairdryer. Room was cold but we adjusted the heating, could be doing with some thick curtains. There was a charge each day on your card which is refunded, so be prepared for that. We had 2 breakfasts included and used the €35 credit each day towards the other 2. The charges for this were taken out of the daily charge and the rest was refunded. Go to breakfast early to avoid the queue. We were extremely disappointed with my recent stay at the Sheraton Times Square. On our second night, we experienced a major plumbing failure that caused sewage water to flood our bathroom. It was unhygienic, unsafe, and completely unacceptable for a hotel at this level.We reported the issue immediately to the front desk. While staff did move us to another room, it was noticeably smaller and on a lower floor, which felt more like a downgrade than a resolution. Considering the severity of the situation, we expected a more genuine attempt to make things right.The hotel only offered a credit for one night’s accommodation and nothing further for the distress, inconvenience, and—most importantly—our exposure to contaminated water in the room. We stayed at this hotel 20 years ago on our first visit to New York , it felt stylish , high end and luxurious then. When we booked to return a few weeks ago with our children we were excited to go back to the same hotel! However things have changed and it was not a repeat of our first amazing experience. Location wise it’s fab! But they let themselves down in every other way. Pur room was really small and the contained x2 smallish double beds - not thenusyal standard for a US twin room for 4 people, everything tired and dated! The bathroom seemed clean but very out of date with tiles cracking , paintwork planing off and white gloss work a yellow beige colour. The worst part was the lifts! First few days they seemed ok, hotel was quiet. But for 4 days solid the lifts a nightmare. We waite
Absolutely terrible I would not recommended! They make you pay for everything just for your bags is six dollars a bag of that service free! They also make you pay $150 destination fee to spend at the hotel $35 a night and if you don’t use it you lose it! they also started doing maintenance while we were here closing the main elevators because they were replacing the carpet and we had to used the services elevators where you can barely get an elevator than we had to take the 26th flights of stairs with luggage absolutely horrible! Would not recommend at all! It’s cheaper in the beginning but you pay in the end!!! I don’t know who’s running this location but it’s not worth the hassle pay the extra so somewhere else! fFrst I would like to Thank Michell front desk amazing employee. she helped us with our 2md room move due to the first rooms being really below par. the noise from these rude disrespectful students running a muck banging on the walls running up and down the hall ways. unacceptable! no supervision what so ever. my room 2008 was horrible bathroom wall coming apart. bubble in the bedroom wall. sheets and sham were dirty, tub had black spots in it alond with the mold around the tub. no mini frig or microwave. our check in was at 4pm we arrived in the early mornings. could not check k in early.. gentleman that first helped us was not kind or professional never asked for our number to call when we could check in. checked twice until another lady I asked at 131 could we check in now? she said
